On April 8, 2012 at approximately 12:03 am, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office received a report of a Sex Offense that occurred at a residence on Gage Lane in Washington, NC.

On February 15, 2012, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Drug Unit along with Officers with the North Carolina Division of Community Corrections arrested Allen Garfield Swanner Jr.
A search of the vehicle and its occupants revealed 28 grams of marijuana located in several plastic baggies packaged for resale, a set of digital scales, $700.00 in cash and 10 grams of crack-cocaine and powder cocaine mixture.
