On Sept. 23, 2010, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office received a report of a larceny that occurred on Corsica Road in Washington. A Manco Scorpion go-cart was taken from a yard.

    On Sept. 30, 2010, Beaufort County Crime Stoppers received a tip indicating that a suspicious go-cart had been seen on Keysville Road in Washington. Investigators responded to the area and located the go-cart behind a residence. The Sheriff's Office began an investigation, collected evidence, and conducted interviews.

    As a result, Investigator Ernest Moore applied for and obtained warrants charging Timothy Scott Richard, age 29, of Keysville Road in Washington with one count of Felony Larceny. Richard is still at large.
