Crime Stoppers seeks information on go-cart thief suspect


    On Sept. 23, 2010, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office received a report of a larceny that occurred on Corsica Road in Washington. A Manco Scorpion go-cart was taken from a yard.

    On Sept. 30, 2010, Beaufort County Crime Stoppers received a tip indicating that a suspicious go-cart had been seen on Keysville Road in Washington. Investigators responded to the area and located the go-cart behind a residence. The Sheriff's Office began an investigation, collected evidence, and conducted interviews.

    As a result, Investigator Ernest Moore applied for and obtained warrants charging Timothy Scott Richard, age 29, of Keysville Road in Washington with one count of Felony Larceny. Richard is still at large. Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. Callers do not have to give their name to receive a reward.
