Beaufort County Schools Listens to the Public

For Immediate Release

On February 1 at the Southside High School auditorium, Beaufort County Schools will hold the first in a series of events called BCS Listens: Voices from the Community.

BCS Listens will provide interactive opportunities for parents and the community to
express their wishes for our school system in the next three to five years. Lead by Dr. Don Phipps, Superintendent of Beaufort County Schools, these meetings are intended to provide and gather feedback on where we are as a school system and where the community wants to see our schools headed.

The floor will be open for attendees to ask questions and share their approval and concern regarding current practices. These meetings will not be the venue for seeking resolution to specific or personnel related issues. Anyone with those needs will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment with the appropriate person
that is able to meet their needs.

Make your voice heard and be a part of the long range planning process for Beaufort County Schools. You do not have to attend the meeting in your district.
